Omaha area religious leaders share messages of faith [Video]

Today we reflect on Mark 6:7-13. Jesus sends the Twelve Apostles to preach to the people of Galilee. Many Christian denominations continue the practice of sending out missionaries to proclaim the message of Christ. In the Catholic tradition, one such example is the Jesuit pilgrimage. Those preparing to join the Jesuit religious order make a cross-country journey. They are dropped off in one city and are expected to rely on God’s providence to make their way to their destination. They take no money, no cell phone and only the items they can carry.

At St. Margaret Mary parish, we had the privilege of hosting a Jesuit novice named Ben during his pilgrimage from St. Louis, Missouri, to Missoula, Montana.
