The Arizona Diamondbacks and Miami Marlins have agreed to a trade sending former All-Star and Silver Slugger first baseman Josh Bell back West.
The Marlins, who placed Bell on waivers over the weekend, have now found a new home for him, and save some money in the process.

Arizona is sending cash to Miami in the deal. According to Steve Gilbert of MLB.com, Arizona is paying Miami $2.25 million of Bell’s remaining salary. Bell is in the final year of a two-year, $33 million deal.
This move comes after first baseman Christian Walker left Arizona’s Monday night game early with an oblique injury. …
