Deputies: Upstate teacher charged with 8 counts of sexual battery with student [Video]

LAURENS, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office said a teacher has been charged following an investigation in reference to inappropriate relationships with students.

According to the sheriff’s office, the inappropriate relationships started in 2015. It was determined that the encounters also took place at various locations including Simpsonville, Fountain Inn, Greenville County, and Greenville.

Deputies said the suspect is Norman Jermaine Roberson who was employed at Fountain Inn Christian School during the time the incidents occurred.

Officials said Roberson has been arrested and charged with eight counts of sexual battery with a student.
