RC Christians Eli Egge – Athlete of the Week [Video]

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) – Between football, volleyball, boys basketball and now soccer, Rapid City Christian athletics is only getting better.

Comets soccer has existed before the 2024 season, however, this is the first year they’ve had a stand-alone team. Head coach Ken Coleman has turned to senior captain Eli Egge as the primary playmaker and leader.

“They look up to him and then they clear everything out that’s going on in their life and they just focus on soccer,” Coleman said. “He’s really just someone who I look up to.”

Egge brings a wealth of knowledge, given that he’s played soccer for over a decade, including a year-round slate with a local club team. He wasn’t sure what this year would bring, but knew he had to remain patient.
