RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Rapid City Christian Comets started the football season off with three straight losses.
But since then, the Comets have been on fire.
The Comets won their fifth straight on Friday with a commanding win over the Custer Wildcats, 44-7.
It was a record setting night for Rapid City Christian quarterback Simon Kieffer.
He broke the school record for career touchdowns which was previously 71.
Plus, Kieffer broke his own single season record for passing touchdowns which was 21.
The Comets improve to 5-3 and eighth in the latest Class 11A football standings.
Meanwhile, the Wildcats fall to 2-6.
Rapid City Christian wraps up the regular season on Thursday, Oct. 24 at home against Belle Fourche.
Custer will host Lakota Tech on Oct. 24.
