Investigation opened after man found shot inside vehicle along busy KC street [Video]

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Police believe a man found dead was inside his vehicle when the shooter gunned him down from outside along a busy Kansas City street.

The Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department says that just before 5:55 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 8, emergency crews were called to the area of 75th St. and The Paseo, a block south of the Christian Tabernacle Church, with reports of a shooting.

When first responders arrived, they said they were directed toward a vehicle stopped in the southbound lanes of The Paseo. As they approached, they found one man who had suffered gunshot wounds unresponsive in the vehicle.

Law enforcement officials said life-saving measures were attempted until EMS arrived to take over. The man was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced deceased by medical professionals.
