Area grocery stores raising funds for victims of Madison school shooting [Video]

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – Following Monday’s deadly shooting in Madison, Pick-n-Save, Metro Market, and Mariano’s Grocery Stores are collecting donations for those impacted at Abundant Life Christian School.

All 105 locations will also provide up to a $5,000 match from each store. The money raised will go towards the United Way of Dane County’s Abundant Life Christian School Emergency and Recovery Fund.

The CEO and president of the United Way of Dane County says the organization stands ready to help the community recover.

“It’s really traumatizing and hard to live through, and unfortunately, many young children were involved. To be able to help re-establish a sense of safety. That takes mental health professionals, it takes families and parents to feel safe again, so they can help their children feel safe again,” says Renee Moe.
