Archbishop Gregory Aymond of New Orleans will submit his retirement papers Tuesday as he turns 75. His retirement comes following a mandate from the Catholic Church. Aymond, who has led the Catholic Church in Metro New Orleans for many years, will continue to serve until the church resolves ongoing abuse claim settlements.
