Bedford County Public Schools announces new superintendent [Video]

The Bedford County School Board announced William F. Dupere as the division’s next superintendent Monday in a news release. 

With a career spanning more than four decades, Bedford County Public Schools said in its release that Dupere has demonstrated “a commitment to fostering academic excellence and student development.”

Dupere previously served as headmaster of Berean Christian School in Palm Beach, Florida for 14 years; and he earned his Bachelor of Science in physical education from the King’s College, a Master of Arts in health and physical education from Rowan University and a Master of Education in educational leadership from Lynn University, according to the release.

“One of the Superintendent search survey comments stated, ‘A servant leader would be a perfect fit for our district.’ I am confident that we’ve found our servant leader,” Marcus Hill, chairman of the school board, said in the release.
