The city of Willows is hosting a town hall meeting tonight to discuss the city’s finances and Measure I, which proposes a sales tax increase.
WILLOWS, Calif. – The city of Willows is hosting a town hall meeting tonight to discuss the city’s finances and Measure I, which proposes a sales tax increase.
Measure I is a 1.5% sales tax increase that will be on your November ballot. It would raise the sales tax in Willows from 7.25% to 8.75%. The added money would go towards public safety, recreation, library services, city infrastructure and emergencies.
The meeting will be at the Ark Christian Center at 222 North Butte Street in Willows.
The reception starts at 5:30 p.m., and the presentation and discussion start at 6 p.m.
