KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – It’s never too early to start getting people’s mind on November’s election, at least according to one local group.

Dozens of people showed up at Mills Creek Park on the Country Club Plaza to claim white Christian nationalism is a threat to America’s democracy. The rally happened Thursday at noon with those in attendance battling rainy conditions.

“Some of the things that were said today I’m going to echo myself and that is we must come together,” said Rev. Dr. Rodney Williams of Swope Parkway United Christian Church. “We must vote that white Christian nationalism has nothing to do with Christianity.

“In fact, it’s white supremacy in disguise and we have to fight against that.”

The group said its next really is planned for Wyandotte County.
