Finance worker’s fraud exposed in lavish lifestyle posts by his girlfriend [Video]

A finance worker who stole £75,000 from dead bank customers to fund a ‘lavish lifestyle’ was caught out by his girlfriend’s social media posts, writes Emily Jane Davies.

Corey Casagrande, 37, used the money to partly fund his gambling addiction.

But girlfriend Jemma Connor‘s posts also included pictures of luxury holidays and of Christian Louboutin designer shoes.

Casagrande, a father of three, was a team leader for Target Financial Services which worked for big names including the BBC, Barclays, and Credit Suisse.

During an internal investigation, the Facebook account of Connor – who also worked for the firm – was checked.

Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court was told that entries suggested “she had been spending large amounts of money and living a lavish lifestyle”.

The court heard Casagrande, who admitted fraud, had a “sophisticated” understanding of the internal systems of the company and used fake documents from real solicitors to steal from …
