FOX23 speaks with former NFL player about why he started a nonprofit faith-based sports camp | News [Video]

STILLWATER, Okla. — FOX23 told you earlier this week about a sports camp for hundreds of teens happening in Stillwater this week.

The nonprofit Epos Sports Experience puts on the faith-based sports camp.

They offer 10 different sports including basketball, softball and cheerleading.

One of the people who helped start the nonprofit is Corey Hilliard. He lives in Owasso and played college football at OSU and then spent eight years in the NFL.

Tulsa’s Investigative Reporter Janna Clark volunteered at the camp this week and found out why he feels called to help local kids.

More than 1,400 teenagers work to get better at their favorite sport at Epos Sports Experience.

Hilliard knew the camp had to happen in Stillwater.

“OSU is my home, this is where I came up. I played ball here from 2003 to 2006,” said Hilliard. “It’s a huge deal, not everybody gets this. We are very lucky . OSU has been awesome working with us and grown over the years.”
