Multiple agencies, city officials and departments across the Piedmont Triad are collecting donations to be sent off to Western North Carolina to help those impacted by Helene.Below is a list of locations where you can drop off donations: ALAMANCE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICEOn Oct. 11, deputies in partnership with Grace Chapel-Freedom Christian Academy will take a tractor trailer filled with donations to Yancey County for those in need after Helene.So far, the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office has sent a search-and-rescue team to Yancey County. The team has since returned and was replaced by another team.
