Hubbard Park in Meriden shining bright with hundreds of holiday displays [Video]

MERIDEN, CT (WFSB) – It’s starting to feel like Christmas at Hubbard Park in Meriden.

Hundreds of holiday displays lit up the park for the 37th annual Festival of Silver Lights.

The entire park had more than 200 display figures, and the whole thing is made up of more than 350,000 lights.

Christian Bourdon, the Director of Meriden’s Parks and Recreation Department, has been involved since 1998. He says the moment the magic button is pressed and the lights go on is truly magical.

“When you just see when the lights go on and you see you know, children’s faces light up it makes it all worth it. It really is a reflection of the magic of the holiday season,” he said.

The display will roll on every night until New Year’s Day.
