Jail Chaplains host Second Chances Picnic [Video]

FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – The non-profit Jail Chaplains hosted its Second Chances Picnic. A chance to bring together the community and inspire others.

As families ate and people played games, Tuesday’s Second Chances Picnic was more than just some summer fun.

“I don’t know how to live life healthy and make healthy choices,” said Dyllan Peltier, a former inmate who is partaking in the Genesis Program.

Peltier is a recovering addict and has been in and out of prison over the last decade. The program he’s a part of, the Genesis Program, is a long-term faith-based treatment program.

“I’ve been in jail without any hope. And now I see the right way that has worked for me and worked for many other people.”

He’s working towards getting involved with Jail Chaplains. the program helps former inmates through a biblical perspective.
