MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – A judge today granted a defense request to set bail in a murder case.

Robert McMillian has been jailed since August on that murder charge because of unrelated charges. But with those other charges now resolved, a Mobile County district judge set bail in the murder case at $100,000.

McMillian will be under house arrest and electronic monitoring, with exceptions for work, church, medical appointments and meetings with his lawyer.

McMillian served a 90-day sentence for touching a loaded handgun. He was acquitted of an illegal gun possession charge stemming from an incident after the April 18 fatal shooting of a man on Telegraph Road in Prichard.
