BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – Two organizations are hoping to spread cheer to three families this holiday season.
Two of them are the daughters of Asia Poole and Mahogany Jackson who were both murdered this year. Another young girl is in need of some help.
The Village Outreach Nonprofit and Kidz Zone Christian Academy are holding several toy drives over the next few weeks to raise money and gather gifts to bring some joy to the three young girls this Christmas.
“I just want to see a smile on their face,” said Tometruis H. Craig, the founder of Village Outreach. “I have a daughter. Actually, I’m a foster parent as well and I have adopted two. I know a mother’s prayer is to live to see her child get grown and they didn’t. It just really bothered me so bad, so I just felt like I wanted to be a part of both …
