Samaritans Purse uses helicopters to deliver emergency supplies to WNC [Video]

ASHEVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – Samaritan’s Purse is using helicopters and other aircraft to fly emergency relief supplies to isolated areas of Western North Carolina after Helene.

Samaritan’s Purse has already completed 210 missions using aircraft from Black Hawk helicopters to Chinooks which can carry over 15,000lbs of cargo.

The Christian relief organization has sent generators, fuel, heaters, blankets, medical kits, food, water, and Starlinks to isolated communities in 17 counties that were cut off by washed-out roads due to flooding and mudslides.

Samaritan’s Purse has used aircraft belonging to private businesses, individuals, non-profit organizations, the North Carolina Army National Guard, and the U.S. Army on these missions of mercy.
