TA riad church is once again raising money to buy and forgive people’s medical debt through an initiative called the “Debt Jubilee Project.””Imagine what it’s like to have a bill come in that you can’t pay,” John Myers said.That’s the reality for Americans across the country and here in the Triad and the focus of the Trinity Moravian Church’s mission. The project has been ongoing for the last few years. “At this point, we have bought and forgiven a little over $18 million in medical debt here in North Carolina over the last three years, most of it right in this area,” said the Rev. John Jackman.The church partners with an organization called “Undue Medical Debt” to purchase and forgive the debt.
