TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – After hiring the same company to build pools at their homes, some southern Arizona families were left with nothing more than a hole in the ground.
The projects also left holes in the families’ pockets after they spent thousands of dollars.
13 News spoke to two homeowners in Vail about their experience.
Christian Pagan is a father to four daughters.
He hired a company to help build the pool of his dreams. Several months into the project, the company stopped construction, leaving a giant hole in his backyard. The company billed him $30,000, which he said he still hasn’t gotten back yet.
“It looked like a whole war zone,” Pagan said. “It looked like a crater in the back of my yard.”
One of Pagan’s daughters fell into the hole because the area was not secured by the previous company. It left her with a huge gash on her head.
