If God asked you to give up everything, would you? That was the question posed in a discussion between Christian actresses Priscilla Shirer and Candace Cameron Bure.

“Everything — the way you spend your money, your entertainment choices, how you focus your time and attention — when the Lord is asking us to come with Him on a journey that looks different than we expected, are we willing to go in obedience?” Shirer asked. “Or are we resistant to that? And for most of us, we’re resistant. We’re like ‘No, this is the way. I want it this is the way. I’d like to have it. This is comfortable for me.’”

We see a clear example of this in the Bible when Jesus calls his twelve disciples to “leave everything and follow me.”
